One of my favorite things about working at Aria is having the opportunity to catch up with clients while visiting new cities. In October, our team traveled to destinations across the country – from Chicago to Las Vegas and Scottsdale, Arizona - to attend our clients’ annual user conferences. Here are a few of the highlights:
Our president, Scott Collins, and I traveled to Las Vegas to attend Craneware’s 2015 Financial Performance Summit. This was the company’s first event focusing on the value cycle: the process and culture that healthcare providers are increasingly adopting to pursue quality patient outcomes and optimal financial performance. At the conference, David Johnson, CEO of 4sight Health, shared his five rules for embracing value-based reimbursement, reminding the audience that “price is what you pay and value is what you get.” Scott and I also engaged in some friendly competition during Craneware’s VIP bowling event at the Red Rock Resort and Casino and caught up with our colleague and friend John Lynn, the Founder of the HealthcareScene.com, who posted a recap of the conference on EMRandHIPAA.com.
Jessica Cohen, our Executive Vice President, and Erin Nordloh, our Account Executive, attended Orion Health’s North American Healthcare Collaborative Conference in Scottsdale, Arizona. Some highlights from the conference included hearing Indu Sabaiya, CEO and Co-Chairman of Health 2.0, lead a presentation about how innovative technologies are helping provider organizations empower patients to be effective agents of their own healthcare journeys. Jessica and Erin also got to meet with several Orion Health clients to hear first-hand how the company’s technology is helping their organizations meet today’s interoperability and population health challenges. Perhaps most importantly, Jessica and Erin got to enjoy the company’s client appreciation fiesta-themed party poolside at the Scottsdale Fairmont Princess.
Chanel Benoit, our Senior Account Executive, traveled to Kaufman Hall’s Healthcare Leadership Conference in Chicago. Kaufman Hall kicked off its annual event with a dinner reception on the 95th floor of the John Hancock Tower overlooking the Chicago skyline. One of several renowned speakers at the conference, Farzad Mostashari, CEO at Aledade and former National Coordinator for Health IT, discussed the entirely new ecosystem of applications and services that have been brought to life by the digital revolution. Kenneth Kaufman, Chair of Kaufman Hall & Associates, also led a presentation that described how to maintain relevance in a landscape undergoing permanent change.
Now our team is already preparing for HIMSS16 in Las Vegas. Tune into see where our clients take us next!
