Here at Aria we get some really great perks including Summer Fridays, which means that each employee gets a day off every other Friday in July and August. As the summer of 2016 comes to an end, below are a few Summer Friday highlights from our team.
Scott: My favorite Summer Friday was when my family and three other families had a sunset picnic on the beach. We brought tons of food and enjoyed ultimate Frisbee until the sun went down. It was a great day!
Jessica: I spent most of my Summer Fridays at the beach with my baby girl, Penelope (then 2-3 months old) and my husband, Zach. This little one loves her beach tent, and mom and dad love our beach routine: packing a cooler with rosé, picking up subs and lounging with the baby all day. We always save room for lobster rolls and fried clams, especially when we go to the beach in Marshfield – Green Harbor has the best lobster rolls in New England (this is as fact)!
Ross: My favorite Summer Friday kicked off my last trip of the summer, a family trip to a resort in Kennebunkport, Maine. The resort is known for its amazing farm-to-table restaurant and the farms on the property where guests can pick their own flowers and produce.
Chanel: I spent my favorite Summer Friday in Kiawah Island, SC. Despite having to brave Hurricane Hermine to get there, it was perfect weather when I arrived and I appreciated the opportunity to spend some quality time with my extended family. A few tropical drinks and lots of good food were enjoyed by all!
Katie: My favorite Summer Friday was when I flew out to Kansas City to hang out with my mom and Grandma. It was a great way to spend some extra time with my family.
Brittney: My favorite Summer Friday was when I hung out with Danielle (another fellow Account Executive) at Old Orchard Beach! We had a blast soaking in the sun, going on Palace Playland rides and most importantly – not being on our email. Danielle agrees that this Friday was her favorite as well!
Taylor: My favorite Summer Friday was spent at the John Deere Classic! It was so fun to go out to TPC Deere Run and watch a PGA tournament in my home town. Although we spent a lot of time in hospitality tents, when the weather cooperated I joined the crowds and got to watch one golfer up close and personal when he had to leave the fairway to find his ball.
If you ask me, my favorite Summer Friday was the start of my friend Brittany’s bachelorette party weekend! We went to Provincetown and enjoyed the beach – then went to Front Street restaurant where we enjoyed the most delicious Italian food. I would tell you about the rest of the weekend but what happens at a bachelorette party stays at the bachelorette party!
