One of the best parts about working at a virtual healthcare IT PR agency is using creative means to build relationships with our colleagues and get to know them better outside of the day-to-day workflow. The year has taken quite an unusual turn with a pandemic sweeping the globe and forcing everyone to stay inside in an effort to flatten the curve as quickly as possible. As a result, our beloved Boston Marathon has been postponed to September. While we’ll have to hold our celebrations for a few months, we thought we would honor the day by sharing some of our favorite memories.

Here at Aria we have a number of #workperks that keep us motivated, on task and well nourished (so many snacks!). One of my personal favorites has to do with Aria’s location. Aria is housed within a converted mill building just steps away from entrances to the Newton Conservators walking trails. These trails wind along the Charles River and provide a beautiful, relaxing space for a mid-day break. Curious as to what else Aria offers? Here at Aria, we work hard to achieve great results for our clients, but we also love to blow off steam as a team. Every quarter, our Fun Committee is in charge of putting on a big event for the team to kick back, relax and have a great time. This time around, we wanted to try something a little different. Not only did we want to host an enjoyable event, but we wanted to create something special for the office. And what better place to do that than at Paint Bar!

The summer is coming to a close and with it, so are our Summer Fridays. For those of you who are new around here, everyone on the team gets every other Friday off throughout July and August to take a break from health IT PR and enjoy a little extra vacationing during the hottest months of the year.

While the pandemic kept us from reliving some of the more spectacular moments of our 2019 Summer Fridays, the Aria Marketing team took the extra three-day weekends to reflect, reflex, and recharge. Drink Options for the New Normal in Office Bonding

Happy hours are a beloved tradition at Aria, and as public relations professionals, we like our drinks with a twist of creativity. Before the COVID-19 pandemic, Aria team members would host in-office, themed happy hours complete with a spread to satisfy our foodie tendencies and décor to bring it all together. (A few memorable ones include the college party and Friends-inspired happy hours.)

With gyms still closed in Massachusetts and social distancing orders in place, the Aria team has found new, fun ways to stay fit amidst the pandemic and avoid the “Quarantine 15” (because let’s face it, we have all been eating more than usual during this time of isolation and stress). While the Aria office is closed, our team is busier than ever and working remotely. We all miss seeing each other in our office, but most of us agree that one nice “perk” about working from home is using some of the time we normally would be commuting to exercise – which helps improve sleep and reduce stress.

Labor Day weekend has come and gone making way for a cool fall breeze to claim its territory across New England. While summer is coming to a close, we wanted to take a moment and reflect on all of the fun we had with our summer Fridays.

Anniversaries are a big deal at Aria. We know that working at a PR agency can be challenging and we pride ourselves on offering our staff an awesome work environment and great perks that makes them want to stick around for years. Regardless of whether it is your one year anniversary or your 15 year anniversary, we celebrate our employees – and our anniversary awards program is just one of the many ways we do so!
