Here at Aria, we work hard to achieve great results for our clients, but we also love to blow off steam as a team. Every quarter, our Fun Committee is in charge of putting on a big event for the team to kick back, relax and have a great time. This time around, we wanted to try something a little different. Not only did we want to host an enjoyable event, but we wanted to create something special for the office. And what better place to do that than at Paint Bar!

As we mentioned in our last post, we asked our interns, Gaby and Alex, to recap their internship experience at Aria Marketing. Below is Alex’s summary of her time with us.

At Aria, we provide each of our clients with a dedicated PR team that typically consists of a Vice President, a Senior Account Executive, an Account Executive (AE) and sometimes an Account Coordinator (AC). Given this set team structure, AEs and ACs typically do not have many opportunities to collaborate directly with each other on client work.

The Aria Marketing staff has spent the past seven months supporting our health IT clients from home amidst the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. While working remotely has introduced us to many challenges, like issues with internet coverage, Zoom calls, homeschooling, and crowded households, the Aria team has found innovative ways to set themselves up for success at home. Hear from members of the Aria team below on best practices for working from home as well as what they miss most about our office:

It is finally starting to feel like spring in Boston, but for us New Englanders, this past winter felt extra long and cold. So, the best thing to do when dealing with what seemed like the 107^th day of January was to take a cabin fever reliever trip! A few Aria team members took mini vacations across the country and down south to seek a little sunshine, so we thought it would be nice to share these #Instaworthy trips with you.

February may be the shortest month of the year, but that didn’t stop the Aria team from securing fantastic results for our clients. As we get ready for the snow to stop (hopefully!) and the springtime weather to arrive, we wanted to highlight some of our best client wins from February.

That’s right, they even let the intern write a blog post! The following is partially a recap of my seven month internship at Aria and partially a thank you note to the company, as I really couldn’t write one without the other. Since I joined Aria in January 2015 as part of the Northeastern University co-op program, I’ve learned a lot, made good friends and (hopefully) set myself up to succeed in the ‘real world’ when I graduate in December. So, while I could have written a much longer list, the following summarizes the top five things I’ve learned during my internship tenure at Aria:

It was during college that I first became interested in the public relations field, so I decided to major in PR. I took all of the required courses and four years later at graduation, I “strutted my stuff” across the stage and assumed I would have a PR job lined up within a matter of weeks. However, a year and a half and multiple interviews later, I found myself still without a PR job. I was told time and time again that I lacked ‘real world’ experience as I never held a PR internship during college, so I began looking for the right PR internship, willing to put in my time and get more experience in order to one day fulfill my dream of working at a PR agency. Soon thereafter, I discovered Aria was looking for a full-time intern so I reached out, interviewed, and got the job!

It’s hard to believe it has been more than six months since Aria Marketing became a fully remote agency. Though there have been some bumps in the road, the transition has gone surprisingly well and has actually helped us to grow as an agency. We are now able to hire public relations all-stars from across the country. One such all-star is our newest employee, Account Coordinator Haley Collins. I had the pleasure of virtually catching up with Haley to get to know her a little better and to find out how she likes to spend her time when she is not securing coverage for our healthcare IT clients. The beginning of the year always provides a perfect opportunity to pause and reflect on the past, and strategize how to make the future the best yet. As we prepare for another successful year of public relations wins, we are bringing the best of 2019's wellness initiative forward, plus scheming up new plans and activities.
