This spring, Aria had the pleasure of having two interns support the public relations team. Both Gaby and Alex worked directly with Aria account executives on a range of activities, including media monitoring, media research and social media support. Before their internship programs come to an end, we sat down with the colleague students and talked to them about their semester at Aria. Following is Gaby’s summary of her experience at Aria:

After only a few months of interning at Aria Marketing, I was able to learn a great deal about healthcare PR. I am currently a community health major Tufts University and, while I am well-versed on the healthcare industry, I had a lot to learn about PR – prior to joining Aria, I didn’t even know what a press release was!

Though I had a lot to learn, the training at Aria was top notch, and the entire company contributed to my experience. From the initial ‘healthcare 101’ lecture with Aria president Scott Collins, to the constant feedback from the account executives I reported directly to, I very quickly was able to navigate the world of healthcare PR.

Aria has a very special culture that is supportive, inviting and interconnected which made me feel like I was part of the team from day one with this team. And, as if gaining extensive PR knowledge wasn’t enough, both Alex and I were welcomed into fun company-wide events such as themed happy hours and ‘lunch and learns.’

I’m going to miss working Aria and am so thankful I’ve had the opportunity to work with these PR experts. This was an invaluable experience and I look forward to using what I’ve learned in my future endeavors!”

Check back later this week to read Alex’s thoughts on her internship at Aria. In the meantime, follow us on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook for constant updates from the Aria team.
