As PR professionals, we are constantly working to get our clients in the conversation – from securing press opportunities and speaking slots to announcing new product launches and strategizing social media programs. The goal of all of this, of course, is to get in front of decision-makers that will be moved enough to take out their wallets – but it’s challenging to directly link PR results to sales, or even to leads. Every once in a while, I get a call or email from someone that read an article about a health IT client and wants to discuss purchasing their technology, but it’s a rare (yet oddly satisfying) occurrence.

The arrival of a new team member brought some much-needed change and excitement to the Aria “office” as we kicked off 2021 and inched closer to the year anniversary of our transition to working from home. Our new Account Coordinator, Emily Wisner, has quickly become a vital member of the Aria family, and our first ever to onboard remotely. We are looking forward to eventually meeting Emily face-to-face (hopefully over drinks at an office happy hour!), but for now, I virtually sat down with Emily to learn a little more about the newest member of our team.

The world has been facing the COVID-19 global pandemic for almost a year, but it finally feels like there is light at the end of the tunnel – vaccines. The Biden administration is currently pushing for a more accelerated vaccination rollout in the U.S., and the President recently suggested the nation could soon reach an average of 1.5 million shots a day. This push comes as many health experts call the initial vaccine rollout “flawed” and express concerns over the amount of Americans vaccinated thus far.
