This week, our team jetted to Vegas for Aria’s second biggest industry trade show of the year, HFMA ANI. As we announced in our latest press release, Aria represented seven leading healthcare finance and technology companies at the show, including Craneware, Docent Health and Capto. Aside from eating some great food and doing a little gambling, our crew spent their time running around the event floor staffing media interviews, attending sessions, and taking part in all the onsite action. Check out some of our client highlights from the show:

  • Two words ruled at this year’s HFMA ANI: revenue cycle. Sessions were geared towards uncovering new ways to improve patient experiences while enhancing reimbursement. Companies such as ZirMed touted innovative solutions leveraging big data and advanced analytics to address today’s most pressing payment challenges.
  • Kaufman Hall delivered an impactful presentation about how technological advances are redefining healthcare by challenging traditional hospital provider-based models and reshaping patient-provider relationships.
  • Craneware shared data from its value cycle scorecard, highlighting common revenue challenges for health systems, as well as shared successes across the industry. Additionally, Craneware and its client, OhioHealth, jointly presented on best practices for pharmacy revenue integrity.
  • Press Ganey’s Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Thomas Lee, offered a unique perspective during his session on patient loyalty, and shared findings from recent analyses on the patient experience.

Overall, the Aria team had a blast staffing over 25 press meetings, fostering relationships with journalists, and of course, eating their heads off. Of note was the team dinner at Mirage Heritage Steak, where our foodies indulged in grilled octopus and perfectly-cooked steaks.

The trip was a fantastic way to cap off the second quarter of 2016 and continue media momentum for our clients moving into the next half of the year. We look forward to many more great shows (and meals) to come!
