December 10, 2015

The holidays may be upon us, but that doesn’t mean the Aria team is slowing down. November has been full of exciting news and updates from our clients! Before you snuggle into your holiday pj’s with some eggnog, check out our highlights from this month:

Press Ganey’s Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Thomas Lee, presented at TEDMED 2015. The session, titled “Who Cares for Health Care?,” explored Dr. Lee’s passionate quest to define empathy as a business asset and patient suffering as an outcome. You can read more about his presentation here.

Additionally, Press Ganey announced Dr. Lee’s new book, titled An Epidemic of Empathy in Healthcare: How to Deliver Compassionate Connected Patient Care That Creates a Competitive Advantage. In it, Dr. Lee presents a path to patient-centered care in a new era driven by value-based competition. You can find the book on Amazon here.

AxisPoint Health Vice President of Solution Delivery, Mike Myers, was featured in a Health Data Management article, titled ‘Technology’s Role in Population Health.’ In this piece, he discusses some of the non-clinical factors impacting population health initiatives.

ZirMed’s Chief Data Scientist, Paul Bradley, kicked off his blog series with CIO.com. The first in his series, ‘How the Bass-O-Matic explains predictive analytics,’ went live this month and puts a comical spin to predictive analytics – relating it back to Dan Aykroyd’s famous 1976 Saturday Night Live sketch about the Bass-O-Matic.

ShapeUp announced ShapeUp Select™, a curated cohort of the world’s best wellness point solution providers, delivering employers and their employees an extensive menu for designing a truly comprehensive wellbeing strategy.
