One of the great things about Aria Marketing is that we get to work with so many technology companies doing amazing things for patients, providers, and the healthcare system in general. One such client is eVideon, a Michigan-based company providing hospitals with interactive patient engagement and digital workflow solutions.

Recently, the Aria team had the opportunity to work with eVideon to promote some pretty exciting news. NCH Healthcare System, one of the largest healthcare systems in Southwest Florida, announced that it would be implementing eVideon’s full suite of solutions across its hospitals. In other words, NCH is going to transform every one of its patient rooms into a Smart Room; a fully digital environment complete with smart TVs, touchscreen tablets, digital signage and whiteboards and video visiting solutions.

Now, beyond the coolness factor of transforming a hospital room into a Starship Enterprise-level experience, the eVideon solution has some major benefits for both patients and clinicians. Patients will be able to communicate with caregivers, order their meals, view educational content, binge-watch TV, and more. They will also be able to connect with friends and family virtually, through eVideon’s HELLO Video Visiting Solution (which is a big deal in this time of COVID-19 restrictions). Clinicians benefit from the digitization of manual processes (e.g. updating patient white boards and other signage), thus improving efficiency and saving resources. Finally, hospital administrators benefit from interactive patient surveys and data analytics that can provide valuable insights into areas for improvement.

As someone who has been both a patient and a hospital employee, I have a great appreciation for how game-changing this technology is for patients and staff in terms of improved satisfaction, efficiency and outcomes. And, I am very much looking forward to the day when a digitized in-patient experience becomes the norm across the healthcare industry. But, until that time, I’m happy to do what I can to support the company trying to make it happen.
